A fav noodle joint in my ‘hood changed (recipe or chef) and it’s became inedible. So I decided to recreate their beef soup and made my own beef balls. Close.
Spent thanksgiving in Austin with my family. Turkey (thanks Hai!) and fried chicken (thanks Johnn!) completed our festive meal. (oh yeah and mom showed up with her spring rolls.)

Cassava bars w. almond crumbs. A simple desert made w. just three ingredients: grated cassava, condensed milk, & coconut milk. The almond adds texture but not necessary.

Another new ramen kid on the block. Pork cheek tonkatsu; cleaner flavor but still can’t beat Ippudo.
Made dinner for a friend tonight and no pictures in the haste of things. But the biggest discovery was: sea urchin + mushroom + pasta = heaven.
These okra and shrimp beignets were inspired by our trip to Charleston back in March. So easy and dellicious.
